Career:
Retired since 01/05/2023.
Most of my career I worked in the telecommunication industry and I did a lot of professional traveling.
I started at Bell Telephone Antwerp working on the System 1240 and became stationed in Mexico, for about 2 years, to help implement the system in the national telecommunications network.
Followed by +30 years at Siemens Telecommunications, which later became Unify and is now part of the Mitel group.
In my early years I did mostly software development and testing; 1 year at Siemens Ghent, 2 years at Siemens Munich Germany and another 2 years at Siemens-Atea Herentals Belgium.
I worked on the following Large Enterprise PABX systems: EMS601, HiCom/HiPath-300, OpenScape 4000 and OpenScape Voice.
In my early years I did mostly software development and testing; 1 year at Siemens Ghent, 2 years at Siemens Munich Germany and another 2 years at Siemens-Atea Herentals Belgium.

A short intermezzo with Mitel working on the MiVoice Business PABX system.
To my big surprise, I ended my career in automotive at Van Hool Belgium, which was a bus manufactured for both public and tourist transport and a trailer manufacturer for cargo transport.
I worked in Service, Support and Software Development but mainly in Training where I developed and handled Technical Trainings for both internal and external customers.
